           Nigerian food is very important to Nigerian culture. Apart from mode of dressing, greetings etc Nigerian food defines the Nigerian people. They are different types of food for the different ethnic groups.
          Nigerians prefer to eat their native food in whatever part of the world they are in as long as it is available. It is essential to learn how to make all this delicacies especially the female gender though the male folks have also gotten closer to the kitchen so cooking Nigerian dishes is now for all.
          Nigerian dish consists mainly of rice, yam, plantain and beans. They are prepared and eaten with different soup and stew recipes. They can also be prepared in porridge form.
          The most common Nigerian dishes eaten in homes are fufu recipes. These are food you swallow without chewing them. They are eaten with different types of soups. They include Fufu which is made from cassava, Pounded Yam which is made from yam, Garri which is also made from cassava, pounded cocoyam etc.
                Rice is also a popular Nigerian dish but is reserved for special occasions like weddings, funerals and birthday parties. Also rice is eaten on special days like Saturday and Sunday.
